So, once again news from our small label. There are a few things planned for the second half of this year. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming projects!
We will release an LP by our friends TOOD. The band is partially based in Karlsruhe/Germany, partially in France and plays amazing Doom / Sludge. They don't use like so many other bands only genre-stereotypes which is really what makes them outstanding! The band will record in August here in Karlsruhe, and I am mega excited! Definitely planned is something in 12" format (LP or Mini LP) in an edition of 300 records.
Then... we'll also make a split LP of the re-animated Sludge-mosters GOLDEN GORILLA and GHOST OF WEM. Both bands will record in July. This record will be a split label release with PER KORO RECORDS from Bielefeld! I'm especially excited about the 3 unreleased GOLDEN GORILLA songs! Their show at this years Towers Of Madness festival was one of my highlights of the year! And GHOST OF WEM definitely had a change in their style over the last few years, but don't worry, all things will be crude and brutal as always!
And also planned is a BLACK SHAPE OF NEXUS Mini LP that will be released in co-opertaion by the band and META MATTER RECORDS. The recordings are here in full progress, but no need to hurry!!! The record will be released when we think it's time to release it. This one is guaranteed to contain one or another surprise!
There are other projects in the pipeline, but these 3 things are the first to announce. Everything else when it's in progress.
Furthermore we just released the two 7"es of the CRUEL FRIENDS and SHINY BROWN a few weeks ago. We are really 100% satisfied with both records, and both were really fun when working on it. For that alone it has been worth all the effort in my opinion!
Also, I'm just trying to make most of our releases available as stream on our bandcamp page (https://metamatterrecords.bandcamp.com). Reason is one and only: the buyer should get the record also as download! DIAVOLO ROSSO, DARK THARR and SCHEISSEDIEBULLEN are already online! Hopefully the rest will follow soon.
